Lauren Olson: Nurse Practitioner
Lauren received her BSN from Carroll University in 2013 and then obtained her MSN, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022. She currently works in both family practice and palliative care. Working in adult critical care for 9 years prior to becoming a nurse practitioner led her to develop a passion for palliative medicine and realize there was a great need for palliative services in the community setting. Lauren enjoys playing golf, doing anything active outside, and traveling the world with her husband. She has a passion for health and fitness and loves being a dog mom of 3.
Sasha Lechner: Nurse Practitioner
Sasha is an ANCC board-certified nurse practitioner, with both her BSN and MSN from Concordia University. She has spent the past 9+ years working as a nurse practitioner in primary care followed by chronic pain management. In 2024, Sasha transitioned to palliative care, focusing on patient education about disease processes and advocating for individualized healthcare goals. She finds home-based palliative care a great opportunity to provide additional support at a time when patients and their families need it most. Sasha is married to her husband Derek and has 4 children.
Lisa York: Nurse Practitioner
Lisa earned her associate’s degree in nursing from Cardinal Stritch University in 2010, followed by both her bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2018 and her Master of Nursing in Family Medicine in 2021 from Herzing University. Inspired by her sister, also a palliative nurse practitioner, and after being with her father as he passed away with the compassionate care and support of palliative and hospice, she knew this was her calling. Lisa strives to educate and support patients and families in deciding their goals in care. She has 2 border collie dogs, one of which is a licensed therapy dog.
Michele Brodzeller: Triage RN
Michele earned her BSN from UW-Oshkosh in 2005 after 5 years of working in dietetics and culinary arts. She has spent the past 20 years as an RN, working in rehab and long-term care facilities. This experience, along with caring for her grandparents at home, led her to palliative care. Michele serves as an advocate, educator, and caregiver for those facing chronic or terminal illnesses. She is committed to being part of a team that will support families’ goals of improving quality of life. Michele has a culinary arts degree and taught cooking classes for kids. She also sings at weddings.
Brittany Miller: LCSW
Brittany earned her master’s degree in social work from UW-Milwaukee in 2016. Before joining the palliative team, she worked in mental health services, gaining her clinical experience and LCSW licensure. Brittany believes caregivers and patients benefit greatly from having someone to talk to about their struggles and stressors. She enjoys hearing about patients’ experiences and life stories and making a difference by connecting patients to resources in the community. Brittany loves the Wisconsin State Fair and goes at least 2 times a year. The most she has gone in a year is 4 times.
