Horizon Hospice Volunteer Wins "Corporate Volunteer of the Year" via BizTimes

This morning, the BizTimes hosted its second annual Nonprofit Excellence Awards. Hundreds of area leaders came together to acknowledge the relationship between the business and nonprofit worlds.

According to the BizTimes website, "The program has also become a call to action, working to inspire business leaders and their workforces to find ways to transfer their time, talent and treasure back into the community."

Of the three nominee finalists in the category for Corporate Volunteer of the Year, one of Horizon's hospice volunteers, Kate Langon, was selected for the grand prize. Horizon is honored to have such wonderful talent volunteering time and energy towards our mission.

Great job, Kate! We salute you!

Here are some pictures from the event taken by Horizon's Manager of Volunteer Services, Jason Whittington.
